Municipal Agent:
Is an officially appointed representative in town who works in conjunction with the State Department of Social Services to provide service information and referrals to those dealing with senior issues. Simsbury's Municipal Agent is the Senior Center Director.

Dial-A-Ride:
For the past 15 years, the Social Services Department has administered the Dial-A-Ride Program for Simsbury's elderly and disabled residents. Two buses run daily, Monday through Friday 9:00 - 4:00 PM, providing door-to-door service within Simsbury. Service is provided for medical appointments, shopping, going to the hairdresser, the Library, the Senior Center, local events, the Farmington Valley Mall, shops on Route 44, and McLean Day Care Program.  The first Monday of the month, a bus goes to Buckland Hills Mall; the second Monday, a bus goes to Enfield Square.  Last year the Dial-A-Ride buses carried 10,330 passengers and traveled 51,490 miles. For further information about the Dial-A-Ride Program, call the Social Services Department.
