Library Offers Interior Decorating Business Workshop
Farmington Valley - The Simsbury Public Library’s Business Resource Center will present a workshop, “Start Your Own Interior Decorating Business” on Friday, April 16th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Karen Powell and Josie Cicerale of Décor & You Inc. will present the workshop.
The workshop will give an overview of what it is like to start an interior decorating business. Attendees will learn how to get started in this business, what skills it takes, how to find vendors, the difference between going on your own and being a part of a franchise and the pros and cons of each.
Prior to forming Décor & You, Inc., Karen Powell & Josie Cicerale served as District Directors, Trainers and Custom Decorators with a national decorating company. They have over 40 years combined experience in the decorating field and have conducted seminars and provided training and coaching for hundreds of beginning decorators throughout the Northeast.
